Umbrella Service
The umbrella option is for clients who are not liable to IR35 and don’t want to be burdened with running their own Limited Company. You avoid the audit, VAT, PAYE administration/returns, Companies House fees, book-keeping, accountancy, etc … The umbrella company is mainly designed for:
- Contractors who are caught by IR35 or want the threat of IR35 to be taken away or;
- Contractors who require a cost effective solution for undertaking short term or fill in contracts between permanent assignments or;
- First time contractors who need a quick and easy start-up method.
You will work on a Schedule E basis receiving all of the income received from the agency as salary and expenses less our fees and employers national insurance.
The Umbrella option means that several contractors will operate simultaneously through the same Company. You will have an employment contract with our umbrella company rather than a contract with the agency/client.

Your Role
- To source and decide on the contract that will best suit your needs and skills, informing the agency/client that you will be operating through our umbrella company. The contract will then be made out between our company and the agency/client naming you as the contractor. You will work for our umbrella company, by signing our employment contract.
- To submit authorised timesheets and expenses to us by email, fax, or post.
- To submit your personal claim for allowable expenses on our expenses claim form along with supporting receipts.
Agents Role
- Sign a contract with us on terms and conditions initially agreed by you and ratified by us.
- Pay fees to us on terms and conditions in the contract, supported by authorised time sheets.
Our Role
- To sign the contract between the agency/client on your behalf and give you an employment contract.
- To invoice the agency/client on receipt of authorised timesheets and expenses.
- We process your pay on Tuesdays for income received by us up to the previous Friday. The pay will be in your bank account two days later. We can pay you weekly or monthly, as advised by you. You can request advances of pay at any time. We will let you know how much you can take. Approved expenses received by us by the previous Friday will be paid on pay days. We will send your net pay and expenses to your bank account by electronic transfer.
- All administration/book-keeping/accounts will be handled by ourselves leaving you free to do what you do best – contracting.
- You will also be eligible to join our pension scheme.
